Dan Mirvish, Slamdance Co-Founder

January 21st

2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Join us as we welcome back Dan Mirvish: director, screenwriter, producer, author, and co-founder of the Slamdance Film Festival. This year brings the exciting news that Dan’s new film, Bernard and Huey–which was written by Oscar/Pulitzer/Obie-winner Jules Feiffer, will be a feature film at the 2018 Slamdance Film Fest. Dan will be here to discuss the film as well as his best-selling book The Cheerful Subversive’s Guide to Independent Filmmaking.

Dan was mentored by Robert Altman on his first film, Omaha, which led him to co-found the upstart Slamdance Film Festival. He co-wrote the best-selling novel I Am Martin Eisenstadt based on the fake McCain advisor who took credit for Sarah Palin not knowing Africa was a continent. You can find the Slamdance schedule for Dan’s film at http://showcase.slamdance.com/Film-Schedule.
