A Kimball Art Center Art Talk –
October 1, 2019, 6pm – 8pm at the Deer Crest Club
This is an exclusive Members Only event, so make sure to RSVP online!
Media executive, advocate, humanitarian, co-founder of TEDWomen, author, and overall tour de force, Pat Mitchell is as inspiring as she is dangerous.
In her new book, “Becoming a Dangerous Woman: Embracing Risk to Change the World,” Pat shares her own path to power, from a childhood spent on a cotton farm in the South to her unprecedented rise in media and global affairs. She expertly intertwines stories from other dangerous women with her own as she details her experiences — navigating the power paradigms of Washington DC and Hollywood, traveling to war zones with Eve Ensler and Glenn Close, pressing Fidel Castro into making a historic admission about the Cold War, and matching wits with Ted Turner and Robert Redford.
The Dangerous Women line of merchandise will be unveiled at this event and will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the nonprofit organizations profiled in the book.
This is a super special opportunity to hear Pat Mitchell speak, and to purchase her book before it’s official release date later this month!
